Traders

Once, Wreningham had its own shops and other businesses dedicated to serving the local community.  About one hundred years ago, the latter included occupations such as the making of bread, shoes, harnesses, and horseshoes. Carpentry was also a common trade.

There are still local service providers / traders today.  However, the nature of their local business has moved on and now include such occupations as plumbing, electrical work, building work and other more socially based enterprises.

The pages shown under the “Traders” heading provide the historical perspective.
